Preparation For Your Exam

sunrise

Please use the FAA Medxpress website at https://medxpress.faa.gov/medxpress. This site allows you to fill in the front side of your FAA medical form online, so you can find needed information prior to your exam. Once completed, print out the online form with the confirmation number printed on it. Please bring two copies to your exam. When you arrive for your exam, you will no longer need to fill out the front side of the FAA exam form. This will expedite your exam process and result in more complete, accurate form completion.

Medxpress answers are not "permanent", and can be changed if necessary at your exam. If you have any questions, please email me at tqflightdoc@tqflightmedicine.com. I can assure you that all pilots flying FMC-based aircraft will rapidly appreciate this improvement in the exam process.

Paperwork that needs to be brought with you to the exam. FAA Special Issuance letters and/or SODAs(not a drink, but Statement of Demonstrated Ability). If I have performed your previous exams, and the condition specified in the SI or SODA was present then, I should have a copy of the necessary paperwork. If you are unfamiliar with either of these - be thankful for your excellent health!

Thank you, Paul Turnquist, M.D.
